“ The ability to make complete and total changes in minutes…even seconds… There is nothing like live TV.”
Alx Galasinao brings nearly two decades of expertise in the beauty and entertainment industry as the Key hair and makeup artist to ABC-7 Chicago. It is the #1 rated Television News station in the city. The great diversity of programming—some of which includes, conventions, debates, parades, sporting events and live performances—keeps her on the cutting edge of the industry. Her work has also been seen on Oprah, Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight and many more.
ABC-7 Chicago was one of the first Disney owned stations to go High Definition. During the transition she traveled throughout the United States and Europe researching the new HD technology and its impact on hair, makeup and styling. The formats, lighting differences and the way they are viewed on this relatively new medium are challenges unto themselves.
A licensed cosmetologist and seasoned instructor, Alx has trained an incredible staff and support system. This has allowed her to continue to stay competitive in print, film, video, fashion, special effects, hair cutting and coloring, wigs, hair and eyelash extensions and paramedical make-up.
Alx came to ABC with a solid list of accomplishments and has been able to continue adding to the list, while always maintaining her number one commitment and position at ABC-7 Chicago...

Her latest endeavor took her on a medical mission to the Philippines. Not sure of the role she was to play on the team, it soon became clear it didn't matter. Whether it was cutting hair in orphanages, assisting doctors during procedures, prepping instruments or just holding a hand… “I felt privileged to be there helping”. She looks forward to the next mission.
